<The operational characteristics of the iSeries fit the <needs of a small business perfectly, but where is the software? <Please do not suggest a green screen application. Exactly. This last point is absolutely critical to the iSeries' survival. In order to be considered for most businesses today an application has to have a GUI that runs on network attached PC. If IBM would buy a GUI screen scraper like Seagull or NewLook and integrate into a thin, tcp/ip only 5250 emulation and ship unlimited licenses bundled with os/400 (and do away with the green screen penalty) it would OWN the app server market.
