Alison, Following are the directions I send to my customers on how to transfer a save file to your AS/400. Regards, Bob Crothers Cornerstone Communications http://www.cstoneindy.com Instructions for getting a save file from the PC World to your AS/400 Note: Anyplace you see MYSAVF, replace it with the name of the save file you want to use. If in the PC world, you see MySavf.Svf, then replace it with the name of the file as sent from Cornerstone Communications. *** AS/400 Side *** o Make sure FTP is started on your AS/400. Issue the command: STRTCPSVR SERVER(*FTP) o Create an empty save file: CRTSAVF QGPL/MYSAVF *** Windows 95/98/NT side *** 1. Start a Dos or Command prompt (Start, Programs, Explorer). 2. Navigate to the directory that you put the file we sent you. 3. type: "ftp xxxxx" (no quotes) and press enter. xxxx is the IP address or TCP/IP host name of your AS/400. You will then be prompted for a user ID and password. Enter these in. 4. Type "binary" (no quotes) and press enter. This will put you in binary transfer mode 5. Now type: put MySavf.svf QGPL/MYSAVF (replace And press enter. 6. Now type quit And press enter. 7. Type exit And press enter to exit the command prompt. 8. You are done with the PC Side.
