The purpose of *SPLCTL special authority is to give a user complete access to spooled objects. If you don't want someone to have complete access to all spooled objects, don't give them *SPLCTL. A better question might be, why does this user have, or purport to need, *SPLCTL special authority? jte John Earl - john.earl@powertechgroup.com The PowerTech Group - Seattle, WA +1-253-872-7788 - www.powertech.com > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-bounces@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l- > bounces@midrange.com] On Behalf Of Vengoal Chang > Sent: Sunday, January 05, 2003 4:44 PM > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > Subject: How can I limit spooled file access under Operation Navigator > User with *SPLCTL special authority ? > > Hi all, > I used the VCP(Validity checking program) to limit user with > *SPLCTL to access some important spooled file except spooled owner. > How do I archive the same thing using Operation Navigator ? > > Best regards, > > Vengoal Chang > > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing > list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
