I was there too.  it was very impressive as a dog and pony show, as well as
a learning opportunity.  but it was for lotus and as/400 BPs, rather than
customers.   you're right.  they busted hump, but it still took a while to
convince the server farm customer base.

IBM busted hump to 'show them the opportunity'.  I just happened to be in
Rochester during 'Domino Days'.  In which vendors familiar with
Notes/Domino on other platforms were given introductory classes to the
iSeries.
