Haha. I had said my original post in regards to someone saying "amazing there are a multitude more windows/*nix email lists than AS/400 for support". I was not saying anything about windows and unix admins being unprofessional. I said nothing about as/400 being good or bad. All I said was that there is more windows/unix volume because more computer amateurs use it to an exponential degree than as/400. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Metz, Zak" <Zak_Metz@G1.com> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 22, 2003 12:29 PM Subject: RE: At the risk of sounding like an AS/400 rah-rah... > Yes, I do, I have a 510-2143 loaded to the gills... I certainly agree with your point, that this is the exception, and unless you're a total nerd, there would be no reason to have one at home. But I think that's the nature of the system. It's a beautiful, solid computer, perfect for "running your business". It's not glamorous, and doesn't try to be. It's a workhorse. Most people don't have dump trucks at home, but it doesn't change the fact that they are very good at what they do.
