Hi,

You need to do a two step upgrade. You should upgrade from V4R3 to V4R5
(you will have to find someone with the CDs), and then to V5R2. I would
skip V5R1.

A few things:

Check for unsupported hardware at V5R2 (like 13GB QIC tape).
Check for trigger programs that might have been improperly coded.

If you have the luxury of a three day weekend, you can do it all in one
weekend, otherwise it will be two weekends.

Greetings!

When I started here I inherited a 620 on V4R3 that was production, and
a 3 month old 820 with V5R1 that was to become production. I quickly
implemented the 820 to production, and we have moved the 620 to another
facility to become a backup box.

Can any of you help me to figure out what is necessary to get the 620
to V5R1, or to V5R2 if that makes more sense? For some reason I recall
that I have to get to V4R5 first.

Any comments would be appreciated.
