5555 Device type and DBCS

To be able to handle DBCS fields without  msg CPA4062 popping up.
(DBCS device may be required.)
I need client access to create a 5555 device instead of 3477.

I could use a system reply list entry but I prefer not to get the message
in the first place.

I am having great problems doing this.   If I set the code page to 937 I
get a 5555 device created but then the function keys and the enter key
do not work.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
