Will increase performance dramatically > e. Performance may tank dramatically > Mike, Answers below assume that you have a fairly modern processor and that performance is not sucking pond water at the present time. Most of these things depend upon too many circumstances to give a clear answer. If you have performance problems, then odds are that a single variable is the limiting factor. It might be one of these things, it might be something else. Regards, Andy Nolen-Parkhouse > 1. Disallow queries from being run in batch c. or d. (unless those queries end up being run interactively, in which case e.) > 2. IPL regularly (weekly?) b. (probably, unless you have special circumstances) > 3. Keep spool files cleaned up b. (although regular cleanup is a good thing) > 4. Change QPRFADJ to 0 and manually tune system a. b. c. d. or e. depending on how well the system is tuned and how much attention is paid to it on a regular basis. > 5. Minimize the number of jobs in the system b. c. or d. Depending on whether your memory or processor is currently overburdened.
