I am interested in expanding my technical limited skill set. I need time and
hands on, and since I am unemployed the only way I can think of, is to buy a
400, with Java and develope a small app or program. I can't learn just from a
book. So my question is what costs am I looking at? There are also time sharing
possibilities, but I would prefer the ownership of a machine, but maybe that is
not so important. Someone please enlighten me in this matter.

Thanks,

Rob
