Subject: CBT for iSeries?
Date: Sun, 23 Mar 2003 10:42:45 -0600

We need to get some training materials for support personnel on basic iSeries / AS400 concepts. Simple operations, basic CL programming, etc.

These personnel have a very good background in PC's & Unix, but have zero to little exposure to 400's.

Can anyone recommend a good CBT package?

Take a look at:

Automated Training Systems
800 426-8737
www.ibmuser.com

They have a complete line that includes audio/visual as well as actually doing things on an iSeries. They used to give free trials. You buy the course once, as many people as you want can take the course.

Interviewer: "Is studying computer science the best way to prepare to be a programmer?"

Bill Gates: "No, the best way to prepare is to
write programs, and to study great programs
that other people have written. In my case, I
went to the garbage cans at the Computer
Science Center and I fished out listings of
their operating system."
