Sigh... I'm afraid I must concur, looks like it. IBM's has been consolidating and homogenizing everything. It doesn't seem they view OS400 (or zOs, or AIX) as doing anything for them anymore. IBM sells its hardware and software and services worldwide, also, so must consider the worldwide market. Almost everbody outside the US will move toward Linux, especially in the poorer countries, especially as MicroSneaky gets its OS's booby-trapped better (like XP). __On them "unbundling" the DB2 on the iSeries, they already did a market test on one thing to "unbundle", and that was the "interactive charge". This makes more sense with this Linux thing, as in herding us over to the more homogenous way of doing things. They've probably already talked about it a little bit, internally. -- Alan, (hoping somebody has a good rebuttal) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don" <dr2@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 8:31 PM Subject: Re: LINUX is the "one" ? ....
