This will cause the correct file transfer -----Original Message----- From: Angela Wawrzaszek [mailto:awawrzaszek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2003 2:33 PM To: midrange-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Queries & Excel I created an as/400 query and push the results to a file. One of the things I do in the query is concatenate 2 fields together one is a 1 pos alpha and then I use the digits command to push a numeric to a character and concatenate the two to make a new 5 positions field. When I download this file into query this field gets converted to hexadecimal ??? D9F2F2D9F2F220030301 = R2282 = R || digits(2282) Any reason why?
