Guys

I am aware of a system that has experienced sever and intermittent performance degradation following a V4R5 to V5R2 upgrade (not a JDE box). The symptoms described sound much the same as what is happening as described elsewhere.

There is little if any possibility that it is a hardware issue as the system had just been upgraded, even so they, too, are starting to consider a hardware upgrade to solve the problem...

Sounds like there might be a more underlying problem affecting some application configurations

We upgraded out 720 from V4R5 to V5R2 and there was a considerable drop in
our JDE response time.  We've tried everything with no success.  Our next
option is to upgrade to an 810.
