When IBM explained this function to me, my comment was that this really "thinking outside of the box". Keep in mind, with where disk technology is going, there is going to be *LOTS for *CHEAP. Certainly the ratio of spare disk space on (typical) systems to the amount of IBM release specific software that you need to load will continue to drop at an ever increasing rate. Certainly a smart move by IBM, which has been able to pull up more of their share of boners in recent years.
