We took advantage of the 720 ==> 820 upgrade discounts before the end of the year. Great savings for us. Some 40% off list price for hardware and software. And since we never dropped back on software from P30 to P20 when we upgraded from a 510 to a 720, which we went from a P30 to a P20. Anyhow lots of people took advantage of the promotion. We also got rid of SPD completely. 100% PCI now. Made the upgrade cost more but long term savings now that SPD is not going to be supported. Chris -----Original Message----- From: Graap, Ken I was wondering .... As we talk about the situation with my AS/400 Model 730/2C6F/2068/1510... Is there anyone else who is in the same situation I find our company in? That is, being on a 730 and facing the dilemma of losing the upgrade path to the 8xx boxes as of October 2003? Or is our company the only company that has allowed this to happen? Did everyone else upgrade to 8xx last year?
