I would assume that if Apache is open source, then if you have the compiler for the language, you most certainly can. There would of course, be some type of extensive setup/design considerations that you would have to look into from the open source group. That in itself would be a time consuming effort. I worked on an IBM mainframe system once, and out systems programmer, seemed to be making continual twigs to the CICS command system. Occasionally, he made the mistake, of printing the compile listing...LOL Ken -----Original Message----- From: David Gibbs [mailto:david@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, April 25, 2003 11:35 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Did IBM Hijack Apache???? Has anyone reviewed the modifications IBM made to make Apache run on an iSeries? Is it possible to recompile Apache on an iSeries after making your own modifications? david _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
