I went to look this link over. Yep, the quote is there from the CIO. But I've learned you learn something sometimes from the reader feedback on some of these places. I don't know how much veracity there is here, but the first listed commentary was: What abour your e-ticket system? Possibly the largest application JetBlue runs is their eTicket system. Their eTicket system is written in Perl, powered by Apache, on HP-UX UNIX servers. Huh, must have forgotten that part. (Bryan..) Another comment referred to how "tiny" an operation they have, "it's revenues are less than what 15 HomeDepot stores bring in per quarter, for example", ..."The CIO's example of 1,000 web "hits" per hour to a frequent flier program's web server(s)".."If indeed the business continues to grow at the present rate, and this CIO can make the same claims to fame, or even keep his job 5 years from now ? that would be impressive. I am personally will be shorting this stock on a 18-24 month outlook.".. > > I found this interesting. Notice that half way down the page it states "So > we marched down the road of the Windows platform. We don't have any Unix; we > don't have an AS/400; we don't have any mainframes--we don't have anything > outside of Windows." > > > JetBlue flies with Windows > http://netscape.com.com/2100-1104-997971.html?type=pt > > > --- > Doug Hart > ? > > ? > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.474 / Virus Database: 272 - Release Date: 4/18/2003 > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. >
