Agreed on RUNSQLSTM being extra work. The files in question belong to customers running our software, so I'm afraid there's really no way I will have any clue ahead of time how they will be sorted. I think I'm stuck on Eric's idea of dynamically building a CREATE VIEW statement without building the AP, then RGZPFM referencing that view. And as an added bonus, I don't end up with a second file.
