Unfortunately, a lot of companies think that if their tech folks learn new
stuff, it will be just one more thing to put on their resume' for the next
job. If you look back at the job hopping that has gone on in the last xx
years, I think that you'll agree to some extent that we've done this to
ourselves. Accountants and engineers don't switch nearly as often as IT
folks.
