I suggest you order the cum.  And also look at the list of available group 
ptf's that are applicable to V5R2 and order those also.  Yes, hiper group 
and db group come with a cume but you may be interested in some of the 
others.

I almost never put on the cume that came with the release.  By the time I 
got around to it another cume came out and -always- a new hiper group came 
out.

I just received a V5R2 upgrade box. In it was the "5722-SS1 Cume Removal 
Letter", stating
that starting July 29,2003 IBM will stop shipping cumes with a release 
(because many
releases are loaded months later & user should order latest cumes when 
ready to 
install). And btw- cume has DB Group and Hipers.

Well, my shipment had no cumes (and July 29 is not here yet!).
