Jeff, I'm in total agreement with you. I'm just a COBOL coder but I enjoy this mailing list. I also find it difficult to reply to some messages because of my work environment. Heck, I don't know the answer to most of them anyway, but when I think I can help someone - it's ususally too late by the time I get around to looking at the mail :( Slack days? What are those? ;-) BTW, kudos to Dave Gibbs for managing this system and putting up with all of us :) Terry > -----Original Message----- > From: Jeff Bull [mailto:Jeff.Bull@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Wednesday, May 07, 2003 3:58 AM > To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' > Subject: RE: Suggestion > > My workload varies greatly, from doing a crossword to > necessary overtime to complete jobs by the deadline; it is not always > possible to manage my workflow to even it out. > > On slack days one of the pleasures is to be able to read my > trade magazines a little more thoroughly, and to participate in this forum. > Don't knock the lurkers too hard - not everyone has the time to be as active > as, say Al Barsa, or has the self confidence to publish technical > replies in public. > > The list is here for all, restricting access to regular > contributors only would diminish its value. > > Jeffrey E.
