A few ideas thay may (or may not!) help:
1) The share isn't set up as "read-only" is it?
2) The file isn't in use by another process somewhere?
3) Is there a limit on the number of users that can access the share?
4) Can you determine whether the problem is on the server-side or
on the client-side? If you try this from a Windows PC, instead
of from the iSeries, does it work?
