When does your iPTF fail?
Mine seems to fail after I've entered in my IBM user id and password, but
I never get prompted for my system name and system user id and password.
It just hangs on this big grey screen.
I get further from home therefore I suspect it is a firewall issue.

Subject: iPTF Problems
Group,
I've been trying (in vain) to setup an connection to iPTF. The PTF service
is connecting to the box, and starting job QESISRV, but it fails shortly
aftewards with CPF8C55. This message (from the QESISRV joblog) indicates
that there was a TCP timeout. This is confirmed by the message received
from
the iPTF service.
The AS/400 is behind a firewall, but I've opened up all ports used by the
TCP Host Servers. The only documentation I've been able to find indicates
that iPTF only needs the *SIGNON and *SRVMAP servers, and I've verified
that
these servers are accessible through the firewall.
QUSER is in enabled status, and the /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/PTFSERVER
directory
has both *RWX and *OBJEXIST public authority. The SNDPTFORD command has
public *USE authority.
I've checked all the usual sources (Google, Midrange archives, IBM
Knowledge
Base), but haven't found anything on that CPF8C55 message.
If anyone has run across this problem before, I'd appreciate any
information
you can share. As it stands now, I've reached a dead-end.
