You can disable user profiles.  We support multiple divisions on one 
iSeries.  When one division is running a critical period end they can 
access that applications security file (like BPCS' ZSC file) and any user 
in that file get's CHGUSRPRF STATUS(*DISABLED).

Is it possible to disable login without bringing interactive down?  I'd 
like to be able to 
prevent users from logging in while an overnight batch runs, but I'd 
rather not take 
interactive down to do it, if I can avoid that.
