I work for a manufacturer. All's I've heard about HIPPA was during our
last quarterly meeting was that it supposedly restricts about everything.
One example they gave is that if an employee calls me and says "Rob, let
the department know that I've got medical condition XYZ, I should be out
about a week, and I thank them for their prayers and best wishes." that
even under that condition I am not supposed to tell anyone the medical
condition. That person should individually contact anyone he wants to
know about his medical condition.
