I am trying to use a TN5250 emulator to connect to our AS400 via SSL and provide a digital certificate to authenticate the computer connecting. I have found Scott Klement's TN5250 emulator but it requires the certificate on the PC to be in PEM format. The AS400 DCM does not provide that format and I cannot find a utility that will translate digital certificates. Well I did find the OpenSSL stuff which I am sure will work, but I comes as a source library and well, I do not have the tools or experience to create a working model. Can someone point me in the right direction? What other TN5250E emulators, besides CAE, support digital certificates and SSL? Christopher K.
