A couple of years ago, a large homebuilder client of mine told me that he had been told by the owner of an even bigger competitor that his company was in the process of implementing SAP. My first thought was the IT manager was padding his resume, cuz even JDE had gotten out of that market segment. I then asked him how bad the implementation was going. The answer was 35 million and counting. The owner of that company really didn't understand what he had been talked into. Like Ken said, more money than brains.
