And those problems were of my own making.  I specified the file using stream
file syntax STMF('/qsys.lib/pluta.lib/clsrc.file/clsrc.mbr') and darned if
OS/400 take me at my word and treat the file as a stream file.  I went
backed and used FILE(PLUTA/CLSRC) MBR(*FIRST) and it treated the file as
fixed-length records.

Once again, the most dangerous part of any automobile is the nut behind the
wheel.
