I have read so far that there are various recommendations to use CLOF; however,
I am very confused now:

CLOF, by definition, closes a database file.  For this, we need an open file
identifier (OPNID).  To get this, the CLOF  command works in conjunction with
the Open Query File (OPNQRYF) and Open Database File (OPNDBF) commands.

Based on this, what you are saying is that we can use the CLOF if we are using
RCVF?

Please elaborate a little more ...
