Are you at V5R2 with all the latest PTF's, including the database PTF's?
I've got a client who has had some big problems since he put those latest
= database PTF's on. IBM has been working on the problem for a few weeks,
now= . They finally found the problem yesterday with QQQTSORT. He's
supposed to = be getting a fix ASAP.

S= ubject: High faulting in the System Memory Pool</FONT= >
I'm having an event o= ccur on my system this morning that I'm still
trying to
understand.
<= /FONT>
The faulting rate in the system = *MACHINE memory pool skyrocketed.
I've seen this happen before when a communications recovery is in pro
gress,
but I checked that out and our comm interfaces seemed to be perfo= rming
just
fine.
I did no= tice that a couple batch jobs were doing big query sorts
(QQQTSORT)
.. a= nd when they ended the faulting rate tapered off for a few minutes.
But
= it is still at about 9.8/second with an allocation of 11GB... That is
high. We usually can run at 2 faults/second with about 2GB allocated.
</FO= NT>
Does anyone have any ideas on what = I might look at to determine what is
going on here?
