I apologize in advance for sounding ignorant. :-) I swear I've seen a
presentation (maybe at Common) or information somewhere that talks about a
compute intensive workload rating for the iSeries. My problem is that on
some of my machines CPW is possibly very misleading. I have systems that
are relatively normal and CPW does a good job of predicting performance
changes (thankfully it is slightly conservative) when I do upgrades.
However, I have a machine that is probably 50% database activity and 50%
compute intensive (ESSBASE, Domino, Websphere, etc.). I'm reviewing a
potential upgrade and trying to come to grips with what I think the change
will be....

Did I make up the Compute Intensive Workload? Or is that some of the
Domino measurements? What do other people do when they look at iSeries
machines that are not doing traditional functions?
