I am, however, curious about "there's nothing to show that OS/400 has caught up yet". In 1995-1996 I lived through TCP/IP hell - mostly in the print arena. I had thought that OS/400's TCP/IP implementation had made it by now, but I'm not using much more than AS/400 printing, LPR/LPD and FTP. What are OS/400's TCP/IP shortcomings?
