Isn't it possible for a "native country" person to take your job away also? And not just foreign employees? Does that mean you should stop assisting everyone? For example, if you were an AT&T employee would you have stopped helping IBMers knowing that AT&T was outsourcing to IBM? Just because the person is foreign does that mean he works for an outsourcing firm? Perhaps he works for a company that just does their own data processing. If Denis asks a newbie type question in an area that is new to him would you refuse? After all, he has French in his email and thus is probably Canadian. "Nearshore offsourcing" is a big topic these days also. Granted, I've made some inquiries to some people I've helped just to ensure they are not direct competitors.
