Here's a link to a site, Client Server Programming - that has lots of good information <http://www-919.ibm.com/developer/client/index.html>, including SQL and ODBC. Also stuff on performance. It's been around quite awhile and is still very good. There's a link called Performance Info that points to an article called Client Server Performance - What They Didn't Tell You at 4GL School.
