It's a nominal upgrade. Just follow the book. Two caveats: 1). Any trigger programs that work at V4R5 may not work at V5R2. Make sure that your coding of the trigger buffer was correct. 2). You will be (by default) be enabled for 250 libraries on the library list. If you have any code that is not tolerant for a RTVJOBA that uses the USRLIBL parameter retrieved into a variable of less than 2750 bytes, you must change data area to not allow more than 25 libraries in the library list. For information about the longer library list see: http://www-919.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/developer/os400/lib_list.html For information about how to find and remediate the problem see: http://www.taatool.com/document/L_scnlibl.htm Al Al Barsa, Jr. Barsa Consulting Group, LLC 400>390 914-251-1234 914-251-9406 fax http://www.barsaconsulting.com http://www.taatool.com "Ed Walraven" <ed_walraven@vol. com> To Sent by: "Midrange Systems Technical midrange-l-bounce Discussion" s@xxxxxxxxxxxx <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc 09/02/2003 09:42 Subject PM OS upgrade 4.5 to 5.2 Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> Looking at upgrading from 4.5 to 5.2 on a IBM 820.
