Dmitri,

I assume you're referring to SAN in an iSeries environment, not SAN in
general. I know that V5R2 greatly improved the support for SANs allowing the
iSeries to play friendly in a switched fibre environment, but I haven't used
SANs on the iSeries.

Do somebody have real experience with SAN ? 
We are looking for some alternative solutions for the endless disk space
problem. 

I found in the midrange archive  2001, that one of the SAN's problem was
6501 controller. Are there any improvements up to now?
