The major focus of the San Antonio COMMON Conference will be Linux, not
necessarily on the iSeries, but in an iSeries centric shop. Sessions are
being set up so you can learn how to utilize Linux in the datacenter, as a
stand alone on an xSeries, or as an LPAR on the iSeries or pSeries, to
replace many of the functions relegated to an Microsoft server today. This
conference will still have all the iSeries stuff you have come to expect,
but will also include a focus on the business proposition and technical
issues with Linux in the enterprise.

Since we are just now starting to put together the map of sessions, (about
1/2 done) I would welcome topic suggestions (and speaker suggestions) for
that conference. Please send to me off line unless you think the group
would benefit. The speakers do not have to be iSeries literate, just open
minded enough to want to run Linux on the best server in the market for
it....;-) See the COMMON web site for more information.
