I have already loaded the updater.  I did not really see much improvement,
but it did not break anything either.  Do you ever hang out at Treo Central
(www.treocentral.com).  It is a great place for info on the Treo (all
models).  There has been many discussions over there about some negative
effects of the updater. Luckily I have not had any problems.

Oh, you should get the Treo Updater if you haven't already.  No new features
but it'll noticeably speed up the Palm side of the unit and the time it
takes to switch from Phone to Palm.  Go to www.sprintpcs.com, sign in, in My
Options select Download Software, select Palm OS 3.5, then select Treo300
Updater 1.21.
