This would be a good solution but I have one problem: the unix box is a custom 3rd-party product to administer e-mail/firewall/web server functions and as such it has no sort of "command interface" available to the administrator. So, I'm sort of stuck with doing the transfer from the destination end. Again, I'm ignorant right now on FTP and Unix so I could be missing something in your reply.
