Not sure if it works with the 2763 but a temporary quick fix is to 
remove the battery.  Leave it off for a bit, then put it back on.  The 
card thinks you have swapped the battery and goes back to caching again 
for a time.  (While the replacement shows up.)

I suppose if the battery was in fact failed (i.e. internally shorted) 
this trick is unlikely to work.
