Objects in QTEMP are deleted when the job ends.  I believe the objects are 
deleted BEFORE the job log is created, so the message file no longer exists 
when the job log generation needs it.

Put a DSPJOBLOG OUTPUT(*PRINT) in the program and run it in batch and see 
if the message displays in that joblog properly.
