Good luck Vern
Is there a way to easily, efficiently and inexpensively access the iSeries database from a remote client machine? In my case, the remote client is an intel box running unix or windows. I'd like to be able to use both types of machines as clients.
Using Perl/MySQL I routinely do things like:
sub _update_account { my $self = shift;
$self->dbh->do( qq{ UPDATE account SET last_tran_invoiced = ?, last_invoice = ? WHERE id = ? }, undef, $self->inv->{thru_sequence}, $self->inv->{invoice_date}, $self->inv->{accountid}); }
Sure would be nice to be able to do the same with an iSeries as the target.
