An interesting thing about Longhorn and CLI is that ( if I recall what I read correctly ) Longhorn ( the next MS OS ) will couple the managed code runtime ( JVM ) even closer to the OS than .NET does now. MS continues to spend money and reinvent its software. IBM and its open source allies have to do the same. -Steve
