Glenn, It is, frequently, easier to tell something about someone from what they /don't/ do, or /don't/ say than what they actually /do/ do or say... But anything can be overdone. You probably get around the Net more than I do, but we've both seen the heat and passion put into discussions about IBM marketing. It's been on on-going theme over the past few /years/ that I've been on this list (and over at the Ignite/400 list, way back when). I would say I've seen /far/ more than 100 people invest time and energy into posting on this subject. So I'm not sure how you draw the conclusion there's not much interest, given the number and kinds of posts we've seen. I, personally, wouldn't put too awful much emphasis on the sample size of this particular survey. | -----Original Message----- | [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Glenn Ericson | Sent: Friday, October 31, 2003 8:01 PM | Don | that is what NewsWire folks reported today. | | I do think the number of voters is small sample for the | iSeries install | base, | which night suggest a lack of interest for whatever reason | or experience. | | At 07:36 PM 10/31/2003 -0500, Don wrote: | | | >Glenn, | > | >Until I see interest from IBM to do more than manage the current decline, | >it's a moot issue...
