Y'all
I had got the same results as Rob and gave up. But I tried something - I
changed my current directory to that of the catalog. This worked.
So, if you specify the fully qualified path name of the image, it creates a
copy when your current directory is not the same as the catalog directory.
Ugly, in my opinion. Besides, the message says that the image already
exists. Of course, it does physically, but its entry does not. I think this
is also ugly and wrong.
The REPLACE(*INSERT) parameter was not necessary.
But do not use WRKIMGCLGE opt 4 to remove the entry - that'll also delete
the image itself. Use RMVIMGCLGE if you want to keep the image file.
Hallelujah!!!!!!!
BTW, if the image can't be found in your current directory, that current
directory gets changed to the root ('/'). I think that is not OK. Watch
out. It happened when I used opt 4 to remove the catalog entry, as
described above.

What happens if you do it this way??
ADDIMGCLGE IMGCLG(PTFCATALOG)
FROMFILE('iptf0006_1.bin')
TOFILE(*fromfile)
REPLACE(*INSERT)
