Problem with Excel Download Facility

I am having trouble using the excel download facility with a file created
by
QRY.

The facility bombs out halfway thru as it cannot translate fields with
'overscore' in them.

If however I just download the original file (not having queried it first)
the operation completes succesfully and the 'overscores' come out as '~'.

Any clues anyone?

Thanks

Chris
