We will soon be connecting our iSeries to an ESS 800 shark. We currently
have 230 GB internal DASD all newer 6717 8.59 GB units or 6718 17.55 GB
units. The shark will have between 400 and 840 GB and be fiber attached
(one channel).

I am looking for anyone with an opinion on the best way to configure this,
performance issues, experiences, etc. My current plan is to define this as
a separate ASP, mount it to the IFS and only use it for our imaging, leaving
all libraries in ASP 1 on internal DASD.

Thoughts, anyone?
