Jerry,

Why would you want to turn off the power for 45 minutes? Why bother? I am 
of the opinion that even with the advancements we've seen in disk drive 
technology, it's safer to just let the machine run. I think it's better to 
spend the extra few cents on the electricity. One of these times, a disk 
is not going to spin up.

Jerry,

Use the power scheduler.  I have used it in the past and it worked 
reasonably 
well.  YOu just have to remember to review it in the event special 
requirements come up and you do not want to IPL.
