Hi,

>I had the opposite, XP working fine, had problems with W2k - what a

actually, we had ordered our 820 with twinax console. Until our big crash
Aug 2001 that worked
fine.

At that crash we found that our console twx port was -not- in the main
rack - so as our disks had died
the AS/400 couldn't find the console anymore.
We had to get a OpsConsole from one of our divisions to be able to scratch
install our 820.

After that, at several occasions, this damn Oops-Console would fail during
Cum-Ptf installs (blue screen),
release upgrade 4.5 to 5.1 (cost us a long time to find the correct slot
for the darn cable).

If we would at least use the so-much praised features (remote control from
home) or console for multiple
systems..

Regards,

Oliver
