Welcome anyway. One nice thing is that IBM used the standard UNIX network app names - ping, netstat, etc., for a lot of this kind of thing. Of course, it also had to have its standard "3-letter-word" style commands, too: netstat = WRKTCPSTS (Work with TCP/IP Status), e.g.

BTW, Appendix E. in the CL Programming manual gives you the reasoning behind IBM AS/400 command names.
